Dr Renu Eapen is a Consultant Urologist in Genitourinary (GU) Oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Austin Health and Olivia Newton John Cancer Centre. She is a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne. She undertook her fellowship training in GU oncology at the University of California, San Francisco. She has also specialized in urodynamics and voiding dysfunction with a fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada.

Renu has a strong academic interest and is currently in the home stretch of her PhD in PSMA theranostics. She was awarded the Mike and Lori Milken Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award in 2022 and the Paul Mackay Bolton Scholarship for Cancer Research from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2020.

After years of debating in high school, Renu’s passion for public speaking and communication drew her to the world of podcasting. She is also loving her new role as the digital media editor of the European Urology Oncology journal.

She loves dogs (especially her super cute cavoodle, Riley), shoes, banter and travel and is the co-host of the popular GU cast podcast!
